Feburary 18th 2018

On the 15th of Feburary 2018, South Africa swore in their new president- Mr Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa which marked one of the biggest changes the country has experienced in 10 years.
Cyril Ramaphosa is one of the richest black billionaires in Africa and the world which he was able to achieve by manueviring his way through the white monopoly run board rooms of South Africa's largest buisnesses. Not only has Mr Ramaphosa been one of the fundamental faces which have aided in ushering the way into democratic South Africa but he has also been a beneficial leader in instilling equality amongst mining workers, founding the biggest mining union in South Africa.

This change has shown the world that South Africa is ready to compete as one of the fastest growing countries in Africa as well as finally being a crucial part of BRICs. It is important for the world to take into account that African countries are on the rise and the election of new presidents in African countries can amount to great change, especially if the past presidents have not done their duty in the most efficient way. This recent news, especially so early in the year has given way to instilling, hope and prosperity for the people of South Africa, inspiring them to open their hearts and mind to new opportunities as South Africa makes it way down the path of a better, equal, economically advantagous future.
